Computer Down!
I had so many plans to update my class website and both my blogs over Thanksgiving Break. I upload pictures to my computer in order to do this as we were traveling. Unfortunately, my computer bit the dust. Totally fried. So, I'm now waiting for my new one to arrive. (Yay!) So, I'm sorry for not updating my posts. I have some new pictures of my Science Notebooks. I'm also looking for a short (short enough to do before Christmas) novel to do with my fifth grade class. Any ideas?

Science Notebooking
Wow! I can’t believe how little time I have this year. I have so many things to share. First I would like to share some of my student’s work that they have done in their Interactive Science Notebook. There are so many great sites out there on notebooking. Not only am I new to this notebooking, but we got new Science books this year too. (Another reason I’m a little overwhelmed)

Pinterest idea crafts
After finding Pinterest this summer I made a couple things for my room. Here are my beautiful creations:
I loved this idea of the flower pencils. I was always loaning out pencils and they would not return to me. This has worked great! We’ve been in school for 4 weeks now and I still have all my pencils and I can quickly see who needs new supplies (already).
The happy birthday balloons were all over proteacher this summer. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of using pixie sticks so I bought glow sticks at the Dollar Store. They turned out great and the students can’t wait for their birthday to get one. I got the container from the dollar section at Target.
I also wanted some benches for my library area that could also hold books. I found these at IKEA and I found the fabric at Walmart and made these cushions to match my polka dot room.
If you haven’t found Pinterest yet click on my button in the side bar. Enjoy!

First Blog
O.K. after stalking blogs all summer I decided to start my own. So I have started back at school. I will post pictures as it begins to look like my room again...(summer camp is using it now).
