Science Notebooks

We are well underway with our Science notebooks.  We are using Pearson’s Interactive Science Series.  This is our second year using it and my second year using the interactive notebooks in Science class.

We have completed lesson 1  and just did our first experiment.  More pictures to follow in the next couple of days.  And a free folding organizer for lesson 2.  Stay tuned!

Class Portraits

Well, we finished our second week of school even though we missed two days for the hurricane.  We did our class portraits this week and they turned out awesome.  They make me smile every time I look at them.  My teaching partner did them last year and they turned out so well that I wanted to do them too!  After all the blog stalking I was doing over the summer, I had a great idea to make them even better.  It was really Tara’s idea over at 4th Grade Frolics.  She made these poster names with word art and I thought, “Wow, wouldn’t that look great with our portraits!”.
